Operation Healing Forces

Operation Healing Forces (OHF) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation dedicated to serving America’s wounded, ill, and injured active duty and 9/11 veteran Special Operations Forces (SOF) and their families. OHF has two main pillars: SOF couples retreats and immediate needs crisis support for SOF and their families. OHF couples retreats take place across the U.S. and Caribbean where a former SOF operator leads the retreat and couples have an incredible opportunity to recover, rehabilitate, and reconnect in beautiful, pristine settings at no cost. Our immediate needs program covers travel and expenses related to medical emergencies, medical and adaptive equipment not covered by government means, funeral and memorial costs not covered by government means (including family travel, relief, or respite care), one-time financial assistance related to transition or employment opportunities including travel, and other as needed crisis support for families including emergency coverage. Remarkably, OHF founders, Gary & Tony Markel cover 100% of all overhead costs, so every donation goes directly to support OHF programs in support of the SOF community, our operators, and their families.
